Photography workshop
We live in an entirely visual age and every single moment of our life is marked or touched by an image: people around us, printed media, advertising, books, films, internet, everything. Photography is an art of capturing moments of life and these subtle sparkles of life vary for every single person.
This workshop will put an emphasis on both technique and visual awareness in order to develop basic participants' skills to use the medium confidently and effectively, to develop the ability to "see" and "speak of" photographs, as well as, to develop their creativity and artistic imagination. It will give the participants an introduction to the aesthetics of photography and will enable on-field shooting on the previously agreed topic. The idea is to give the participants the opportunity to think and work on their own personal photographic style which will help them to clearly communicate their ideas.
Finally, we will learn how to see photographically, being aware of frames and images which had not been visible before. Hence, we will discover a new beauty in our everyday life.
The workshop leader
Darko Petrovski, Macedonia
I work as a photography teacher in NOVA International School in Macedonia. I fell in love with photography 8 years ago, while I was involved in OSCE Project - mobile.culture.container of the Funds In Defence of our Future. This project was invented for post-conflict areas and we were touring around Ex-Yugoslav Republics for three years. I am also a President of the Photo Club "ELEMA" from Skopje and a Secretary of the Photo Association of Macedonia. And I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you!
